Chinese New Year

Well, the Chinese New Year festivities are almost over with "Chap Goh Meh" (15th day, the last day) around the corner. There's been a lot of eating over the past couple of weeks as it's one dinner invitation after another!

My two all-time favourite CNY cookies, Kuih Kapit and Kuih Bangkit. These were specially ordered from my hometown Taiping because no where else do they make them like that anymore. These simply melt-in-your-mouth.. mmm...

F
or those of us, ahem, who are still fortunate enough to "qualify" receiving ang pows, there are only a couple of days left for that.

Will some of these ang pows (red packets) become collectors' items I wonder? They are so colourful and beautifully designed like this one from Suisse Credit.

So, here's wishing everyone a joyful and blessed "piggy" year.

Aren't these piggies just simply adorably cute? They are made from mooncake pastry with lotus paste filling.

Hi Eddy, about time you "shared"... really nice photos, you're good at taking photos, keep up the good work and hope to see more of your "talents" here.
